A Piece of Quiet (has lived here)

Most of Springhurst is south of King street, and most of it runs east-west... until you hit my part of it and suddenly it's north-south. And one-way. I rarely if ever hear noise from King street or the Gardiner. The only time it gets really bad is during the CNE (stupid loud airshow airplanes), Caribana (the neighbourhood goes a bit crazy), or the Indy 500 (now those are cars I can hear). Besides those times it's a really peaceful place to live, in Parkdale. I don't know if it's because I'm south of King but I seem to miss the aspects of Parkdale people might find unappealing.
It's a residential street, so not much action to speak of. Right at Springhurst and King there's a No Frills for good & cheap grocery shopping, a pharmacy and a couple of variety stores. At the other end, Springhurst butts up against Liberty Village, and there's LOTS of good stuff in there.
